Update frequency of version.home-assistant.io

Since Home Assistant OS v. 5.10 has been released 5 days ago - how often is https://version.home-assistant.io/stable.json updated? The JSON still lists 5.9 as the latest stable release.

Manually upgrading using ha os update --version 5.10 worked just fine, only the update wasn’t showing up in the dashboard - as above JSON is apparently used for checking for new versions.

New version of Home Assistant Core was released a few hours ago and is already reflected in mentioned JSON. There seems to be an issue with Home Assistant OS only?

It’s not an issue, for the OS, the supervisor, and all the plugins in the supervisor the update is done manually for the stable channel.

That usually happens a few days later after some more extensive testing, but with the holidays things may take a little longer time

I was wondering too. Basically - as I learned during the last two weeks full of suffering and issues since running on HASS OS 5.8 - I´d meanwhile say “plan updates wisely” especially the OS usually doesn´t offer really important new features, stability > features.

I bet someone manually needs to pull a trigger to push it to version.home-assistant.io.

Thanks for clarifying! Not a fan of automatic deploys either, so I’m glad someone still has to press a button
