Update from 0.68 to 0.68.1 and IFTTT integration via phone google assistant not working

Hi,
i just update my HA from 0.68 to 0.68.1 version
and now asking google assistant to switch light on is not working any more…
Normally i have to check if http server is working and it was not working, so im using this comnmand (sudo setcap ‘cap_net_bind_service=+ep’ /usr/bin/python3.5) , because im using virtual environment in hassbian…this error is old at least one year now…

but this time is not helping me …
I did see that IFTTT.com webhooks api had different api key ( i did not change it and 10 hrs before i update HA to 0.68.1 version, everything was working…
So i change ifttt key in configuration… so is o.k.
http server is working…i did check /description.xml is responding…
ifttt.com key is correct ( using webhooks ).
configuration file is o.k. i did not change it and i check with backup and i tried to change it too with old backup, but nothing…
ifttt:
key: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
tts:

  • platform: google
    language: ‘en-us’

emulated_hue:
host_ip: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
listen_port: 80

so what else should i try? Or is this update that is not working?
Logfile is not showing nothing…

when i ask google assistant to turn on lights, google assistant reponds and in IFTTT.com i can see that applet run but light will not switch on… i have to use webpage from overview.

thanks

Why are you using IFTTT to do this when there is a Google Assistant component you can use or the HA Cloud?

thanks
i was using this for year now, before was nothing and is working so quick and was working all the time…

i can check this new Google Assistant component ,but if i knew that ifttt with new version 0.68.1 ifttt component is not working …

Google Assistant component is quite of work now…

hope that i can install 0.68.0 version that was working everything…

It is for sure. You can use the cloud component of course but there’s a cost to that.

Do you really want to lock yourself in to using an old version instead of doing the work now to make it work in a future proof way?

yes,
it is like this… with HA you have to work all the time, it is nightmare everytime you update…you dont know what will work and whot will NOT work…
in last year i spend relly lot of time setting up, and now i have to do it one more time., till; next update…

it is free, you think, but it is a lot of spear time to set it up…and there will be some new update, biggert one one, that will force you to make changes etc etc etc…

I haven’t really found that.
There was an issue with some of my Xiaomi switches which were fixed in hotfixes and I just waited it out and they changed Google Assistant integration a few releases back as well but nothing critical broke for me.
I guess we still haven’t made version 1 yet and it’s all still in beta but I’ve found it pretty stable to be honest.

i did activate the cloud, but im so disappointed that after update i lost my ifttt integration, was working very ver good and very very fast,
i

and one very important thing… now i’m googling for and hour and there are no documents how to set up this cloud…
there are only few forum posts…

So disappointed that i update today HA. all night i will need to make it work like before…
not sure if i will be able to make it work with this home cloud thing…

thank you for reply
you help me make more work c:)))

It is very hard to set up home assistant cloud !!!
so much more work than ifttt.com

going back to version 0.60 HA and i will never ever update it…
home assistant cloud is very difficult and strange to set up, because google actions is so strange and it ask you so much things and documents and pictures and emails and privacy etc etc etc…

missing documentation

mine has stopped working as well using the google_assistant component. and the google cloud service can’t seem to get working

i’m going back

cloud and google action is difficult for me with no documentation
pip3 install homeassistant==0.68
