Update Nibe Integration from Github - possible?

Hello, i have the Nibe Integration installed.

GitHub - elupus/hass_nibe: Home Assistant Nibe Uplink Integration
Since some updates from the heatpump not every entity is working 100%. I looked on github and found, that the code is being updated but “not pushed to HA to update via UI”.

My question now:
Is it somehow possible to manually update the Nibe Integration directly somehow over github (download code and replace via samba share) or is there a other way?

br

Hi flrnwrzl,

I don’t see that when searching HACS so the author may have chosen to not submit it directly to HACS to make it easier for you and instead released it as a custom URL. You will need to follow the instructions in that github repo to update and follow that site to know updates are needed.
Perhaps suggest to the author to submit this software to HACS so it can show up in the updates area like other submitted software does.

Hi,
me neither.
Nibe is an direct integration from Homeassistant, see here:
Nibe Heat Pump - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io)

Therefore i cant understand why its not upated, becoause beeing updated on github.

OK, it’s core. Missed that.
That update has to come from a PR from the code owner or someone else to change core then.

You might want to check if there is an issue for that already. Is there something not working or a missing feature at this point?
Issues · home-assistant/core · GitHub.

HI, yes, i already found that too
Missing entities in NIBE heatpump integration · Issue #121200 · home-assistant/core (github.com)

but still only updated github code and not the “core” version, sadly :frowning:

It looks like it’s known to the code owner.
There is nothing more you can do at this point. I suggest patience.
