Update predefined scene from a script

Is there a way to update or edit a scene from a script? For example, I have a scene called “LVRRM_night” with lights already configured to a desired color/brightness and would like to adjust the already defined scene easily from a script which would be called from the dashboard. There are times when I would like have one light brighter or dimmer due to various circumstances and I’ve already setup certain scenes to be activated based on time of day, motion, etc. More specifically, when I go into my dining room a scene called “DINRM_MotionEveOn” is activated during the evening. Lately with the cloudy weather that scene isn’t bright enough and I’d like to be able to click on a button on the dashboard that would save the current light configuration to “DINRM_MotionEveOn” so that from now on (until I update it again) that scene would use the new configuration. Right now I have to go sit down at my computer and manually change it…

Kind of a pain, and with all the lights that need to be changed each time I trigger the motion scene I’m wondering if there would be a way to do this. I’ve figured out how to do a lot of things and this would be so nice.

TIA

No there is no way to change a configured scene, except to call it first then change the brightness of whatever you need to. You might as well create a new “brighter” scene you can call.

There is also this but they do not persist through a reload or restart: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/scene/#creating-scenes-on-the-fly
