Update Resin OS on your Hass IO?

Hello,
First of all, sorry for the noob questions but I am new to Home Assistant.

I want to ask is there any way to update the host Resin OS with newer version?

What is the set up?
Hardware: Raspberry Pi Zero W
Home Assistant: HassIO image --> resinos-hassio-1.1-raspberrypi.img
Flashed on SD card using Etcher as described in Installing Hass.io
Version: Home Assistant 0.60.0

My investigation
The latest Hass IO release is resinos-hassio-1.1-raspberrypi.img.bz2 from Sep 18, 2017
The last update of Resin OS (according to release notes) was in version resinos-hassio-0.8-raspberrypi.img.bz2 based on ResinOS 2.0.3 from May 20, 2017
When I am looking at https://github.com/home-assistant/hassio-build I saw a tool “resinhup” which could do the job but I cannot find out how to use it on my Hass IO installation.

Why is needed this?
ResinOS up to v2.0.5 had an issue that WiFi channel 13 cannot be enabled regarding of the configuration.

Please give me some suggestions how can I resolve my issue without moving to Hassbian or some other completely different distribution.

Best regards!

I am also wondering why ResinOS is stuck on version 1.1?
