Update to 113.3 Kills Login and Network Config?!

Not sure if this should be a Home Assistant OS or Home Assistant report. Earlier today, Supervisor told me to upgrade to 113.3, so I did so.

Immediately upon reboot, I was unable to log in. My username and password no longer worked. I tried rebooting a few times to no avail. The system was still responsive to the network, so I tried SSHing in (using the SSH add-on). Permission denied.

I pulled the SD card and reviewed its contents. Within hassos-data/supervisor/.../config, I found .storage/ and inspected the auth file. It did contain my username as expected. I then proceeded to follow these instructions and removed auth, auth_provider.homeassistant (no such file), onboarding, hassio, and cloud.

Upon rebooting the system again, it does not come up on the network at all, either on Wi-Fi or on ethernet.

My configuration is backed up in GitHub and I can reflash if necessary. Is that the best path? What went wrong with this upgrade? Any logs or debugs I should do to help find the source of the problem before I nuke the installation?

It could be a corrupt SD card…try a new one.
