Twice now I’ve done an update of core using the HA iOS app and twice now (different core updates both times) the icon has spun as if it was installing and then the ssd is bricked.
Pi is no longer connected to the net and if I plug the ssd into my mac it shows 100% full and needs reformatting.
This has happened twice now. Is this a known issue / should I not try and update this way/ anyway?
How big of a drive? What was on the drive? What file/s were taking up all the space? Are you running an auto snapshot integration? I assume the HD is at least several gigs. The update process, while anything is possible, it’s unlikely it’s writing gigs of erroneous information during an update.
I think it’s showing as full as it’s been corrupted in the install process. It’s a 500gig drive that has less than a gig of data on it. Backups are done to google and there’s no media etc.
Basically, two updates of core and both have failed and corrupted the drive meaning a full new image has been required.
This integration? Home Assistant Add-on: Google Drive Backup? I just disable this about a week ago as it seemed it was causing my system to lock up during a snapshot. I can’t say definitively but the 2 backups were corrupt. Since I turned it off it hasn’t froze.
