Updating Operating System 9.5 > 10.5 - won't update, stuck on 9.5

Hello,

I am new to Home Assistant, so I may not be troubleshooting this correctly. When I go to install 10.5, the system starts updating; I don’t see any log entries with errors. The system then restarts (again with no errors I can find) but is still on 9.5. I have tried to update several times, no change.

Currently running:
Home Assistant 2023.9.2
Supervisor 2023.09.2
Operating System 9.5
Frontend 20230911.0 - latest
On a native intel computer.

I have physically restarted the machine several times. I am currently working on the computer remotely (it is headless), so not sure if I am getting boot errors, but the system does start up fine, just on 9.5 still.

Any ideas or places I should be checking for logs? I tried going through the various log categories but am not seeing any relevant entries.

Thank you!

Bump - does anyone have thoughts?

I am not seeing any errors. Tried updating via CLI, same issue. Appears to go through the update process but then remains on 9.5.

HAOS not updating is most likely due to a compatibility issue or some OS configuration you have done in the past which now prevents the system from updating.

Think what OS level changes you might have done in the past and try to revert them.

Check the boot process, which I suspect is not clean.
