Updating OS on OdroidN2+?

Hi,

I’m in the process of slowly migrating my HA system from a RPi3B to a 4GB Odroid N2+ that came with HA pre-installed on the 64GB eMMC (UK) and would just like to check if I need to … or should need to update anything manually please?

FWIW, as of just now I have:
core-2021.3.4, supervisor-2021.03.6 and Home Assistant OS 5.12

In the general HA info I see:
Operating System Family |Linux|, Operating System Version |5.9.16|
and
Board odroid-n2

Do I have or should I need to update the Linux please (I think I saw mention of Debian10 somewhere)?

Also, should I see ‘N2+’ there or not?

According to some help from the Odroid forum (who pointed me here) it is an N2+ because of the clock speed found from a terminal command (not that that was really in question, still good to see etc).

Any thoughts please guys?

Cheers, Tim

I recently moved from a pi4 to a N2. After migration i updated successfully to core-2021.3.4, supervisor-2021.03.6 and Home Assistant OS 5.12.

So, with your move to the N2 nothing changes. You can update HA and the OS as you would have on your rpi3.

Hi Harry and thanks for the confirmation.

I’m happy because with nothing to do manually there is less chance of breaking anything.

Cheers, Tim
