I have just installed the ZAC93 on my HA Yellow. There are 2 things I will need to do but, although hinted at in many threads, I cannot see specific instructions for a GPIO module on a Yellow with a CM4 bluetooth module. I would like to know:
How specifically to turn off bluetooth on this CM4 module as opposed to a standard RPI4/5. What are the instructions that access the CM4?
It looks as if it is sensible to upgrade the firmware. All instructions I have seen in detail are for Zooz sticks or RPI4/5s. I have the details of the firmware file from Zooz support but don’t know how to upgrade when the module is already attached to the HA Yellow GPIO.
My Zwave integration screen currently is attached.
Did you ever get this updated? I’m running the ZAC93 on a Raspberry Pi (via Ser2net) and also see that firmware warning. One thing I noticed in the Zooz HA OTA update instructions is that you have to exclude and re-include the device (step #6). Is this the case with the ZAC93 controller as well?
As the ZAC93 is not supported by the Z-Wave JS firmware service (V2 was removed w/o explanation), you can get the firmware from Zooz’s support site and update it manually.
Well, I just took a look at Zooz OTA Firmware Files - Zooz Support Center and the ZAC93 (changelog) is no longer present there either, so you’ll need to contact Zooz support and ask if there’s an upgrade still available.
I wrote to their tech support and they emailed me the firmware for 2.0. They said there was some issues with updating on 2.1 so they pulled it down. I did the update and it’s working fine now. I also suggested they post the 2.0 on their support site so others can close this same issue.
