Upgrade from RPI 3 to RPI 3b+

Hi all, I have a quick question.
I have removed the SD card from the RPI 3 and inserted it into the faster RPI 3b+. Everything seems to be working okay but was wondering whether I have done it correctly, or do I need to re-format the SD card and start with a fresh reload from scratch?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated ;o)

It’s fine. The image is the same for the two devices. https://www.home-assistant.io/hassio/installation/

The only additional task I would carry out is a sudo apt update/upgrade while the card is in the Pi3+. This will pick up any firmware changes that may have been implemented between both models.

Obviously take an image backup of the card before you attempt this to prevent any headaches if you card gets hosed during the update/upgrade process.

HassOs does not use deb packaging or apt, if I recall correctly.
If they installed Hassio on Raspbian, you would be correct.

I’m suggesting an image of the card being taken and an update/upgrade to the card with whatever method the user employs in order to ensure that the correct and up to date firmware is deployed.

Hi all,
Thanks for all your advice - its now running on 0.91.0
