After upgrading to HAOS 15.0 my Sicom device - similar to an Intel NUC reboots through to the warning
Home Assistant CLI is not running! Jump into emergency console
I have tried the “login” fix - which almost always results in the same error after a long delay. After enough reboots and attempts to start the console the device seems to decide to boot a backup - the boot screen goes by quickly but it is changing the boot choice fromt he first option to the second and everything boots fine EXCEPT I am now running HAOS 14.2. If I try to upgrade again or anything that results in a reboot, I end up with the emergency console message again and must go through the approrpiate number of attempts to start the console and/or reboot until it reverts back to HAOS 14.2
Any Idea ?
Anything I can look at to diagnose this
same happened to me. typing ‘login’ din not help. I rebooted it with commad ‘reboot’ and then started without network cable attached and usb devices removed from device. And it started up. Next I plugged the network cable.
I’ve had this issue, to resolve I switched back to the functioning boot slot by pressing space during boot-up and selected the working boot slot (for me slot A had be updated to 15.0 and wasn’t working, so I selected boot slot B) and allowed the system to boot up. One the system was started I used the following HAOS cli command to repair boot slot A ha os update --version 14.1
Once this command runs the system should now reboot into boot slot A and will be running HAOS version 14.1. You can then reboot the system and select boot slot B to run your up to date configuration.
I’ve noticed that when I check the system with ha os info boot slot A still shows as bad but does have version 14.1. Time will tell if this allows for future updates to 15.1 or higher (assuming this error is fixed in HAOS)
