Usage of dsmr addon with solar panels

Hi,
I have a Belgian (Dutch) digital meter and can successfully read it with the DSMR plug-in.
I just got solar panels installed and was hoping to ‘just’ be able get all necessary statistics through the digital meter.
I have see these available statistics:

  • electricity meter energy consumption (tariff 1 and 2)
  • electricity meter energy production (tariff 1 and 2)

while consumption is clear (consumed energy), production is not.
I was hoping to have stats for : consumption, production (as in: power generated) and injection (as in: power injected into the power grid).

Can anyone clarify what ‘energy production’ means, as I have the impression it means ‘power injected into the grid’ ?
Also, does this mean it is not possible to read out how much energy was produced ?

My main aim is to build a correct energy dashboard.

I have the same setup.

Well, the solar panels company installed a stand alone meter here on the 240V solar panels cable to provide the needed injection data.
It’s because your normal meter is situated in front of all your consuming devices, so it has no any possibility to see, what is generated and what is consumed from your solars.
It can only see, what you are returning to the grid.

So now it looks like this:

I ordered a shelly EM, that will hopefully get me the needed info.
