USB cable too short , solution pls

Hi Everyone
I have a couple of human presence sensors that I want to place, however the USB plug is about 4m away ?
How did you overcome this problem with having a normal USB cable ?
Appreciate your solutions, thanks

Buy a power extension cord? Buy a USB extension cord? Put the sensor in a different place?

For my human presence sensor where there was no power close to it, I used a POE injector and power splitter on the other end, so I had only one ethernet cable to worry about
