USB won't boot on Intel NUC10i7FNHN

Hi folks,

A new problem. I want to install Debian 11 from a USB stick on my new NUC but it seems that the USB stick is not bootable for some reason.

I downloaded ISO image from Debian site. First I tried to use win32diskimager which should allow writing a bootable USB flash drive under Windows. No luck. After this I have tried to use Rufus. Again no luck.

After connecting the USB stick to the NUC I have pressed power button for ~3s and then I have pressed F10 to open up the boot menu. I can see my USB stick there. Once I press the enter button booting doesn’t start and I get again the boot menu. I have disabled UEFI in the BIOS but this hasn’t helped.

Any ideas?

Verify boot partition present

Maybe try different usb(some don’t work)

I checked that the USB stick has g2ldr.mbr file and boot directory so I assume that it’s a bootable USB stick.

Did you also disable ‘secure boot’ in the BIOS?
