Hello,
I run my HA in a VM in PROXMOX and I have a dedicated container running MariaDB.
Both are configured to use only one network adapter (the physical one onboard of the mini PC), so I think that they are basically seen as 2 separate nodes in the network and all the traffic is going through the switch, so out from the network card and back in (in the “same wire”). First of all, is this correct? Or is PROXMOX able to detect that it’s “local” traffic and keeps it “inside”?
If this is not the case, and all the traffic goes back and forth for no reason, then my next question is, is HA able to handle an additional network card (virtual - vmbr) dedicated to connect to the MariaDB container only? (of course the container will be connected to the same VLAN too). Anyone doing something similar?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.
