I was wondering if it would be a big change to use a common format when encrypting the backup archives? Something like AES encryption how it is supported by modern ZIP implementations. This way it would be easy to access the encrypted content via well known UI tools, like 7zip?
Originally I’m coming from https://github.com/sabeechen/hassio-google-drive-backup/issues/367, but when I searched this forum, to see if this is a already requested feature, I came across other posts from users that are struggling to get single files out of the backup.
