Use silvercrest motion detection for bathroom light

Hi together. this is my first topic here as i was just a power reader here.
I have 1 question.
i bought a zigbee motion detection from Silvercrest, which works very fine if you use it for … a normal motion detection.
But i want to use it in the bathroom, as someone enters the bathrom, the lights turns on.
then the light should turn off, when the person, leaves the room.
Currently i tried it as follows:

  1. Light on, when motion detected
  2. Delay for 80 seconds (the detector from Silvercrest has an timeout for about 70 seconds after detection)
  3. if no detection, turn off the light.

Then i set the mode of the automation to RESTART.

Means, if there is a detection, it should start at step 1 again with 80 seconds delay again or not?

anyway it works not as smooth as i did hope.

Does anyone else use it similar like me?

Bathrooms are always and awkward one, it is one of the room, by definition, that can have presence without motion, someone sat down for a while for example. I am currently testing a presence sensor and it seems to work well, could be worth looking into one rather than a notion sensor.

Saying all that, I got round the problem before presence sensors were available by using a door sensor in line with a motion sensor, by leaving the door slightly open when the bathroom is empty, then when someone is in the bathroom and closes the door it keep the light on until the door registers as open again.
