Use temperatuur sensor to control Plugwise Smile or Adam climate without thermostat

Hi,

Does someone here has experience with the thermostat Slim, Adam or Anna from Plugwise?

I have an old Plugwise Smile P1 (v1 or 2) as gateway between my heater/boiler and the Plugwise Anna thermostat. I want to replace this thermostat with a small and invisible Xiaomi temperature sensor. Why? I just don’t want an thermostat on my new walls.

I tried adding a custom climate configuration, but it doesnt control the thermostat to start the heater.

climate:
  - platform: generic_thermostat
    name: Livingroom
    heater: climate.anna
    target_sensor: sensor.xiaomi_temperature

@berry807 Plugwise provides the Jip now, which is basically a Xiaomi temperature sensor.
But unfortunately that one only works in combination with an Adam.

You could have a look here: Database of Zigbee devices compatible with ZHA, Tasmota, Zigbee2MQTT, deCONZ, ZiGate and ioBroker
Buy a zigbee coordinator and buy a suitable heater/boiler controller from the HVAC-list, and then you can use your Xiaomi temperature sensor for what you want to achieve.

Did you manage to integrate Adam with third-party temperature sensors?

The Adam can work with any wired OpenTherm thermostat.
On the wireless side, it can only work with the ones that Plugwise provides.

Yeah, I ended find it out last week. I returned it and ordered a OpenTherm Gateway
