I want to configure my wifi to connect with the same IP address if the network cable is removed from my Hass.io instance. Any ideas on how to match to IP address for either hardwired or wireless comms?

This is an old thread, but since someone commented 10 minutes ago, I’ll add my 2 cents.
Assuming the OP @palitu means they want their HA server to failover from hardwired to WiFi and keep the same address, it is possible. Just use the same static IP for both interfaces - BUT make sure the WiFi connection isn’t started unless the wired interface is disabled. If both connect at the same time, I believe neither will work. You would need to actively monitor connectivity and toggle between them.
