I ordered and got delivery of two of these to play with this afternoon out of curiosity since they are matter based.
Commissioning was nice and easy when I did it via the companion app directly using add new matter device and scanning the QR code on the bottom. No other apps/accounts required.
The USB ports are on a single switch so all are toggled at the same time when controlling it.
The only disappointment is that it does not have per outlet power monitoring which I was hoping I could take advantage of but it works well as is so for devices where you don’t need to track current etc for automation best to use a dedicated plug that can do it if you don’t have a relay or smart wall socket already setup that does it.
Thought I would post my findings for others interested in this Matter based smart power board.
Quick update: so far so good no issues with these they are working as they should so would recommend if you just need a basic power board without power tracking for multiple devices connected to a single socket.
Thanks very much for posting these observations! I was just wondering about this exact board. I’d love one with individual power monitoring too, but haven’t found any. I’d also prefer this with one or more USB-C/PD ports, which seem to be available in some other markets but not Australia. I might pick up one of these for now.
