Hello
I have two users in my HA (me and my girlfriend)
So is it possible to log / show what she did in home assistant, like “Martina stop playing Sonos / Turn off the lights” or so?
Thanks for your help!

Home Assistant doesn’t currently reveal who did what.
Hi, and there is no a workaround with code to get this? I look into logbook, and it does not find something that also catch users. What if…create different cards for different users, there is a way to log the card name and event? this way we will get what @Schmidij_ch asked for (and me too)
I provided an example of how to use context.user_id
here:
user_id
is an identifier (alphanumeric string). To get the user’s name you have to search for it in person
using the user_id
(the example shows how to do that).
However, that’s for an automation. I don’t know how to do the equivalent within a Lovelace card.
Hi,
I know this topic is old, but the feature you mentioned isn’t still be available. Is correct? Is there any workaround or will it be implemented in the future?
Because for me would be very important, and I think would be too for many other users.
it’s still old but any news about this feature?
weird that I can’t see who turn on/off entity in the system, I can see whats happened in the “Logbook” of the device / entity but nothing about who did it.
This thread was started four years ago - the information in it may be out of date. If possible, start a new thread, with a link to this one to provide context if necessary.
isn’t better to use thread in the system and not open new one?
Well… The people who replied four years ago may get a notification about it and that can be quite annoying.
You’ll get more attention with a new post, honestly! Plus, you can give a bit more detail about your use case.
