User changed switch detection

Hi,

I’m writing new post, because I tried to find this info on web/forum but I had no luck with it…

To the point. I’m wondering if there is any possibility to detect (or hack it somehow) if given switch/light/input has been changed by user in UI or by automation rule.
It would be very helpful for my motion triggered lights, because sometimes I want to e.g. manually change lights to on and force them not to turn off automatically. I know I can always have switch to turn off certain automation but it’s not what I want to achieve.

The above code turned out not to work very well, as it would only check if the light was generally on at the start of the automation. This way, the second time motion was detected and the light was already on by motion, the light would stay on as if it was turned on manually. I have ended up to this simpler code which works great so far, replacing the manual switch with a template switch which besides controlling the light it also activates a boolean.
