I would like to forward my AC control to HomeKit through homeassistant using a Broadlink RM4 mini.
I get how to add a control to my dashboard through the scripts but I would prefer to “build” my AC unit (cold and heat) as an entity, so that I can send it to HomeKit via the Homebridge plugin.
How can I do it? is it even possible?
Is there a way to directly manipulate the IR codes? I found some IR codes online for ON and OFF commands (as opposed to the POWER command), but I have 2 problems. 1) The codes are in HEX (POWER OFF : 0x20DFA35C / POWER ON : 0x20DF23DC) and 2) All my attempts at manually manipulating the JSON fail. I have created new commands and updated the codes for existing commands.
