I noticed that when I added my Broadlink to Google Home voice commands like “Set temp to 70 degrees” doesn’t work but “lower or raise temp by X” does. That tells me that the system cannot accept commands that skip degrees but must follow a linear flow.
This concerns me because the remotes apparently don’t get an update from the unit and I’m concerned with the remote falling out of sync.
E.G. if I change it in BL/HA to 75 but the remote says 70 and I use the remote to change it afterwards. So if the unit is set to 75 in HA and the remote says 70, than increasing to 75 would actually set the unit to 80 instead.
Is this a real concern and what’s the best practice for this situation?
