This worked well for me. Since I run Home Assistant CORE on a Synology Docker container, I also followed this video tutorial in part to quickly set up Cloudflare tunnelling on a separate container, which I was then able to use to create remote connections to Home Assistant.
Side note, on the Home Assistant app, in App configurations you can edit the ‘External Link’ to point to the sub-domain you added in Cloudflare and this should allow you to access the app remotely as well. Happy days!
