Hi Guys,
I’ve eventually managed to get my ‘dumb’ analog gas meter reading accurately (see this thread) and I would now like to use the consumption data to provide information in my own dashboard, and not just in the standard ‘Energy’ dashboard.
My meter is measuring in ft3, and after about five hours of reading the forum yesterday, I understand it is possible to undertake calculations in the yaml code which will provide either a Kwh figure or a cost, using the unit price per kWh from my gas supplier as a variable in the yaml file. I’m not clear on how to do this.
Currently, I have several Meter Helpers setup that display the gas consumption per day, per week, per month…etc in my own Dashboard, and I would also like to provide the cost and kWh usage within the same dashboard.
How would it be best to achieve this, bearing in mind that my yaml understanding is limited!
