Using my own icons for views

Hi,

I’m trying to implement custom icons to be used with Homeassistant overview page views. I added a sauna.png file to my homeassistant/www folder and put the path for the icon as /local/sauna.png in the view configuration. Still the icon is now showing up. I took a screenshot that might explain better what I’ve done.

What am I doing wrong and what is the correct way to do this? materialdesignicons.com don’t have all the necessary icons I’m looking for.

According to a post I found, it’s not (yet?) possible to use custom icons.

You might build your own font file that contains the cumstom icons:

@tok Thanks but it does not work for “view” icons, AFAIK.

I use it for view-icons, so I surely know that it is working. But you have to create SVG-files; PNG is not suitable.
