Using NSPanel relay to replace the switch on a desk lamp

I have an NSPanel in a dock on my bedside table flashed with ESPHome Blueprint and is all working well.

I was wondering if I bought a standard desk lamp with a switch on the wire to go on the bedside table, could I cut the switch out and use the relay to turn the lamp on and off. In my head I figure if I put the neutral from the plug and lamp end together into the neutral on the NSPanel, and then the live from the plug into the L input and the then live from the lamp into relay 1, would that work?

I’m just wondering if this would be safe/functional to do like this?

yes, flawless.

It depends a bit how you connected the nspanel at the moment (f.e. boxed or not).

For sure it wouldn’t make it more unsafe as it currently is
Wether the NSPanel has 2 or 4 wires connected to it doesn’t make a lot of difference

It’s in the sonof dock so should be fine.

Thanks! I’ll give it a go.
