I got this requirement :
“When the chef finishes a plate he would like to turn on a LED stripe so the waitress can come to pick it up and turn off the light”.
I added a light to indicate that there is a meal ready waiting.
I got mapped in “home assistant” as a light. So the waitresses and waiters can use the companion app to have notifications and turn on/of.

I recycled an old phone charger as a power supply.
I user a Shelly RGB2 and a Shelly Button
I had to remap the wiring but it worked out well.
