Using SNMP to cycle PoE?

Hi,

I’ve got an Ethernet device that’s powered by PoE, and occasionally crashes and needs to be power-cycled. It’s in a fairly remote location so I’d like to be able to do this using an automation in Home Assistant.

The device is connected to an Aruba JL322A switch.

Could I configure HA to power-cycle a port on this switch using SNMP? How would I start to figure out how to do this? I think it would be super useful.

The switch that controls the power to that POE port needs to be exposed as an entity to HA.
