I’ve not used the web-ui to create a automation and have been directly editing the automation file, the other day I thought lets try the web-ui to create one…
it reformatted the whole file, all my comments are gone

Yes that happens.
And please do not post screenshots of your config files. They are text, copy and paste has been around … well a long time!
It conveys my complaint much better using a screenshot as opposed to copy and paste

Remember reading some where you can have 2 automaton files on call automation old I think so my thinking is could we put the good automato with the # comments into the old automation then when want to build one with the editor it should put them in other automatoes file
