Utility helper to show Wh instead of kWh

Hi,

I created 24 utility helpers reset daily to show my solarpanels daily power. (lower values in picture)

Though they are in kWh and I’m not going to get a kWh per panel so I’d like to see Wh instead.

I thought you could change that since April update though I don’t see it.

Any help please

Show us the raw sensor data under the dev tools. If your sensor currently has a properly configured unit, you should have the option to change the quantifier and precision.

That does show kWh so guess that’s my problem?

Thing is that’s “Lifetime energy” so that should stay kWh and I prefer my “Daily” in Wh

If you click on more-info for the lifetime_energy_1_1.1.1 sensor, is there a unit of measurement dropdown where you can change to Wh ? This is one of my energy sensors in kWh, there is an option of Wh

Yes though then I get a very high number for lifetime, I just need the daily utility helper to show Wh instead of kWh

I tried and now the helper is to the moon

Ok, I get now what you’re doing. I’ve run into the same issue recently. If you want to display the same sensor in different places, but with different units, you can’t do it with this setting. You need to make a second sensor, based on your first one, and set it’s unit to what you want.

If someone has a better solution, I’m keen to hear it.

Yes,

The plugin has a lifetime energy entity and I want to see the daily energy on another place

Then my suggestion would solve it for you.
