Utility Meter Helper not updating

Hello everyone.

This morning I was manually modifying some SQL entries and ended up messing the database.

I restored a backup that was about 5 hours old, meaning I lost about 5h of sensor data.

My question is:

The main energy sensor picked up the difference in energy.

However the utility helper that uses this energy sensor did not.

Why didn’t the utility meter pick this up if the data is there?

The utility meter does not use the absolute values. Only the difference from the previous to current value. It also does not update from the source sensor unknown state to a value.

So your utility meter saw unknown → some value → some value + a little bit and only added the little bit.
