Add a configuration option to treat the sensor input as a power source instead of an energy change.
This would make configuration easier than using the Integration Sensor.
The power option must calculate energy area under a power histogram (“Left Riemann Sum” ) and distribute the energy between periods if the power is constant while crossing the period boundary. This is something which is not possible to handle with the Integration Sensor unless an update is forced just before the boundary time.
Overall, the combination of the power integration and utility metering is best done in the Utility Meter requiring no other workarounds. This suggestion would simplifies setup for new users.
