UVC Camera "does not support play stream service"

Hi there
I’ve been struggling with my Ubiquiti Unifi cameras. I’m trying to stream to my LG WebOS TV.
But it seems like the camera.play_stream servce won’t work for me. The cameras work just dandy and I get a preview in the Lovelace UI that streams lve from the cams.
Calling the service with the following data:

entity_id: camera.baghave
media_player: media_player.stue_lg_oled

Gets me the following error:

camera.baghave does not support play stream service

In the logs are the following:

I’ve enabled RTSP and RTMPS for the cameras in the Unifi Video interface. The [RTSP] URL’s from the Unifi Video interface works fine in VLC Media Player.

Any takes on what might be wrong?

I believe you need to add the ‘stream’ component in configuration.yaml to enable camera.play_stream

# streaming component
stream:

Tried that, but to no avail :slightly_frowning_face: Error remains the same.

Just in case someone is trying and not exactly sure what to do. It tripped me up for a bit.

  1. Go into you Unifi Controllerect
  2. Go to protect
  3. for each camera, in device | manage, turn on the RTSP steam

Go to Home Assistant, setup Unifi integration, put “stream:” in your config.yaml

restart and it works.

Doesn’t work. RTSP has already been enabled for years on my end.
Your solution might work en other scenarios.
