Excuse my ignorance but…
In v0.72.0 Sonos is now configured in ‘Configuration, Integrations’.
What exactly does this mean?
I had Sonos already, does this mean I have some redundant yaml code somewhere now that HA configures it automatically?
If I’m honest I have no idea what the ‘Integrations’ feature does nor what is different if anything, or how it affects me and my previous setup if at all.
Initially there is no difference. One of the benefits is more device management through the gui. Later on it will enable more complex relationships between a device and all components and platforms exposed from it.
[Trying to decipher the typos ] I think you are advising me to take some action - your reason sounds very sensible but I am not sure exactly what action you are suggesting!
My Integrations page shows this and I have a new .config_entries.json file but as far as I can tell nothing else has changed.
I don’t know the details of the sonos implementation but so far most integrations will do imports from the old configurations, meaning there is nothing you need to do and nothing should be different for you.
Also, I meant my reply to be directed at @DavidFW1960 as he seemed to imply something different but I must have pressed the wrong ‘Reply’ button by mistake, sorry.
nah I was just saying to keep up to date and use the integration and clean up your YAML - something I should probably do for my chromecast (but I think I was using discovery previously anyway).
