Vacuum robot recommendation

Hi all,

I have a Roomba 960 that works well with Home assistant, and I am looking for a new vacuum cleaner.

Objective of this topic is not to talk about the capabilities of the robot itself, but the integration with Home Assistant.
What I am looking for:

  • To start / stop my vacuum from Home Assistant
  • To use the map would be a nice feature, but if it’s not available through Home Assistant, it’s not a show stopper.
  • I don’t want my Vacuum to be connected to Internet.

From what I read on internet, I can exclude Roborock, it can’t work without an internet connection.
Irobot should be OK ( I use mine like that and it works well).
There are some other brand I don’t know well (Ecovacs, Dreame, Xiaomi), but I believe that all these brand need an internet connection.

Do you have any advice?

None are really intended for use without connection to the manufacturer’s cloud. But there are a few workarounds if you are willing to try them.

Valetudo looks great, but I must open the robot and root it. A little bit intrusive.
