Value Translation of entities

Hi all,

is there a possibility in Homeassistant to translate the value of an entity to another language?

So my door sensor in Lovelace will be shown as “open” or “close”. But i would like to have it in a german translation “offen” or “geschlossen”.

Is that possible?

Would be nice if someone could help here.

Change the language in your profile settings.
A binary sensor that is on/off and has device class door or window will show open/closed in the frontend in the respective language configured for your profile.

Hi,

i have already set the language for the user to german. But Lovelace always show me the englisch state of the entitiy

Ok, so it’s not a binary sensor, but a normal sensor.
Either change the state that is reported by the sensor if possible or create a template binary sensor based on the existing sensor.
