Vehicle-Service-Manager

[Custom Component] Vehicle Service Manager - Track your car's maintenance and service intervals

Hey everyone,

I am excited to share a new custom integration I’ve been working on: Vehicle Service Manager.

If you are like me and want to keep track of your car's maintenance schedule (like oil changes, brake inspections, or cabin filters) directly inside Home Assistant without manufactor apps, this integration is for you. It calculates service intervals based on both driven mileage and time elapsed.

Key Features

  • Dual Tracking: Monitors service intervals by kilometers/miles and days simultaneously.
  • Service Templates: Pre-defined templates for common maintenance tasks.
  • Flexible Inputs: Uses your existing odometer sensor from your vehicle's connected integration.
  • Automations Ready: Easily trigger notifications when a service task is due soon or overdue.
  • Dashboard Friendly: Generates clean entities for easy display in Lovelace cards.

How it Works

The integration creates a dedicated hub for your vehicle. You link your car's current odometer sensor to it or just type in the actual, and then define your maintenance intervals (e.g., "Oil Change" every 15,000 km or 365 days). Home Assistant will then track the remaining distance and time until the next service.
