hello ,
My velbus integration wont work with a velbus module : VMBDALI-20 anymore…
is there a solution for this ?
or is this something that is in the pipeline from the velbus - developpers?
Kind regards

FYI the Velbus company doesn’t formally / actively support the development of third party integrations (like so many companies)
All the work is done by amazing volunteers.
Also, the VMBDALI-20, VMB8DC-20 & VMB4LEDPWM-20 uses a new set of instructions, which is to make it a little easier to develop new modules.
Support for all this is in the pipeline…
hello
the very strange thing is :
the work of the volunteers (velbus community integration) worked soms months ago .
( i could control DALI via the velbus integration )
but maybe the HA update had a negative influence to the integration
cos i dida update of HA ,
i changes my velbuslink , but not relatated to DALI
i did not change my dashboards
i did not change my hardware
hi!
in an older system where i dont update the HomeAssistant , there Dali modules work.
HA 2023.8.4
supervisor 2024.10.0
os 10.5
frontend : 20230802.1
my conclusion , updating HomeAsistant breaks the velbus-dali integration
Do you have an update on the support of VMB8DC-20 module?
I have added this module to my Velbus network, HomeAssistant is able to see the module, but the controls (On, Off) are not working.
Hi
I have no influence over the time line for these things.
Because it’s all done on a voluntary basis, I am only happy that Cereal is prepared to spend his precious spare time working on this.
Although he does have a support subscription on his GitHub page that I have signed up to, I still don’t expect to make demands on his time.
All that said, he has performed his magic and added a lot of new modules recently
FYI
The firmware in the original VMBDALI is very different from the V2.0 Velbus Dali module, VMBDALI-20 .
I believe that the issue has been addressed and corrected in the most recent HA version.
