Velux shutters (SML) and Qubino ZMNHOD1 devices

Hi,

I recently installed 3 Velux roller shutters (the “SML” wired version), and I’m working about connecting them to Home Assistant.

At the moment, each shutter is connected to a Kux110 device. That means that I can only communicate with them with the very proprietary Somfy’s “IO-Homecontrol” protocol. To do that I have to buy additional Velux or Somfy stuff, which I dont want for several reasons.

Now, according to my readings, those shutters can be managed by a simple +/-24VDC actionator device. My intention is to use the Qubino « Flush Shutter DC » ZMNHOD1, device. For power supply, I’d use MeanWell IRM-30-24ST .

Now I’m wondering whether those devices are well integrated in Home Assistant. Does anybody uses them ? And if not, what else should be advised ?

Thanks for reading.

Hi,
I am in the same situation. But didn’t find any solution yet.

Did you finally try the solution you proposed? Does it work properly?

Is it possible to send a scheme with connection and tell usss how it works with home assistant?

Thank you.

Well, what I can say is that it is possible to handle the shutter via a simple 24V DC adapter (I tried successfully). But I didn’t take the time to configure the Qubino stuff, having not the time (two little kids here…). I’m using a Somfy gateway for now.
