I would Like to integrate my Ventilation System nilan Bilanz vp18 in Home Assistant.
The System communicates through the Open Modbus protocol RTU RS485.
The company offers a smart Home Integration but due to the ridiculous high price i want to make a Work around through a Raspberry Pi.
The Modbus protocol RTU 30 is used as standard.
address value between 1 and 247 can be set for the assignment of the participants.
Since i am a bloody beginner in this field i would be greatful If anyone has already got experience in the use of the mobus protocol and the communication through raspberry pi and is willing to share it with me.
