Vera Integration - Continuing Error

I am currently receiving the following error - especially in automations. HA reports “HTTPConnectionPool(host=‘192.168.1.111’, port=3480): Read timed out. (read timeout=30)”. This is the proper IP for my Vera Plus, I don’t know what is causing the issue.

Is there a way to change the timeout period? Something seems to have changed with the integration.

Any help is appreciated.

Although I don’t have an answer to your question, I can offer you some really good reasons to consider switching over to Wave JS-UI. Firstly, like you I came from a Vera controller integrated into Home Assistant. That was a pretty easy transition and I spent nearly two years running my system that way. I watched Wave JS-UI get released, grow and mature but still didn’t have a reason to switch… until I read a post talking about configuring a device I had struggled with in Vera. That poster had also come from a Vera controller and was touting the ease of configuration versus Vera. That was enough for me to at least give it a try.
I can tell you that Wave JS-Ui is head and shoulders better than Vera ever was. Yes, It was a little more complicated to get set up, you can run BOTH controllers at the same time and use BOTH integrations simultaneously! That means you can slowly transition your devices over in a fashion that makes sense to you while maintaining your most important devices on Vera until you get more familiar with the new (and easier) way of doing things. I use a Zoos 800LR controller Amazon Link and a StarTek USB extender Amazon Link and it works perfectly.
To this day, my Vera Secure is still running, albeit only for my 433mHz door sensors. Unfortunately, its stability was just becoming too high a risk and I’m glad I made the change. You can get both parts right now on Amazon for under $40!!! The ability to have a second controller for under $30 as a backup is a really good feeling. *** Do your research on recovering a ZWave JS-UI stick. It’s not without issues, but even a complete rebuild would be way easier than on your Vera.
I wish you the best of luck resolving your issues and hope I may have enlightened you enough to consider the upgrade. FULL DISCLOSURE: I do not work for any of the vendors mentioned here. This is just my personal experience and your results may not be the same as mine. As usual, this forum did help me when I struggled and hopefully it can help you as well.
