After I updated HA a bunch of my automations tanked. Looks like something is causing my Z-wave devices to have their IDs suffixed.
What gives?
Assuming you updated to .41
Notes mention:
Append vera device id to entity id - but not name.
This avoids duplicate names from Vera.
It’s always a good idea to read the notes for an update before applying it.
I read the breaking changes and figured I was good. Why wasn’t this considered a breaking change?
Dunno, but a quick search and replace should fix things. Notepad++ can search/replace over open files or over a directory.
Because the breaking change was back in .40 and not .41
