Vera scenes controlled by HA scenes?

So I have a Vera that runs my business automation system of over 100 zwave devices. Everything worked great except for their terrible interface so I got into HA to control the Vera. Everything was fine until, as it would appear, Vera has recently stopped controlling my Honeywell thermostats. No problem, I was able to add them to my HA as well. The problem is that I had manually-run scenes (like “night shutdown”) that turned off the lights and adjusted the thermostats. To keep things simple, I created a new scene in HA that adjusts the thermostats AND runs the existing “Shutdown” scene on the Vera. For some reason, running a Vera scene with an HA scene does nothing. It adjusts the thermostats as expected but does not turn off the lights. I can run the Vera scene manually from the HA and it works fine but add it to a scene and nothing happens. Also, just to test, I added the Vera scene to an Automation and manually executed it. IT WORKS! Weird. I’m guessing it has something to do with the fact that Actions in Automations has an “Activate Scene” option but you can only add entities as actions in Scenes. (Still makes no sense because my Vera scenes show up as entites). Now I would just assume stick with this method (using only automations) if there was a way to change the toggle on/off button to an “execute” or “activate” button like the scenes have in Lovelace. Anyway, I’m very confused and I’m currently avoiding transferring everything over to the HA for multiple reasons I can explain if needed.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the ridiculously wordy question.

Can I recommend some line/paragraph breaks.

It’s really hard to follow a massive wall of text (as was mentioned when you posted the same thing on Discord). If you break it up, people will be more likely to read it, which increases the odds of somebody helping you.

You also would want to show us the code - with just a wall of text, and no code, it’s doubly hard to help you.
