Vera - Updated Device

Hello All -
I’m in the process of migrating from Vera to Home Assistant. I’m an experienced user of Vera (10+ years) but I’m unsure of their direction for now and it’s time for stability.

I’ve been using the Vera integration (as well as Multi Site Reactor) to help me in this journey. However, it’s just that - “a journey”. It’s possible I’ll even add a Z Wave device or two to Vera along the way.

Questions:

  1. If I add a Z Wave device will Home Assistant pick it up? Or is it a one time event when I installed the integration?
  2. Similarly, if I remove a device, will it disappear for me?
  3. Scenes: I see it imported a number of scenes. As I replace (remove) Vera Scenes, will they disappear from HA?

I have had HA and Vera integrated for some years and over the last few days slowly removing services/apps and orphan devices from Vera. The plan is to use the Vera as a Z-wave gateway. Removing devices from Vera successfully removed them from HA but I needed to reboot Vera. I have been unable to remove the Vera scenes from HA despite removing them from Vera, rebooting Vera (confirming scenes removed) and then also rebooting HA. So would be interested in a solution.
