Hello. I am having a heck of a time getting z-wave to work with Home Assistant using z-sticks and I’d like to try a separate local hub to handle the z-wave duties.
One of the things I hear talked about in the this sub is VeraPlus. But when I did some reading on it, it seemed generally disliked in Amazon. It only has 2.5 stars in Amazon. Granted a lot of these reviews probably talk about it as a full-on home automation hub and not just as HA’s z-wave hub. In any case, I want to ask those who are using this some questions:
- How do you like it? Is it something you will recommend?
- Is it stable?
- Is it hard to set up?
- Is it cloud dependent or can it run totally local?
- How hard is it to pair z-wave and zigbee devices to it?
- Can it pair pretty much any z-wave/zigbee devices or are the selections limited?
