Verizon Gizmo Watch 3

I recently ordered a new Verizon Gizmo for one of my kids. It looks like the 3rd version now has some sort of bluetooth connectivity. I’m hoping I can integrate this ESPHome to do some sort of child-tracking locally… 🤷️

Since it now supports Bluetooth, I wonder if a bluetooth integration can be written to at least alert HA that your child is Home or Away.

In my todo list is to take the watch near a computer and do a bluetooth scan to see if i can detect it…

Finally purchased the Gizmo 3. Would be great to integrate into HA. If for nothing else to know when my daughter is home or not. The watch doesn’t integrate into Wi-Fi so can’t trigger off of that. Bluetooth may be an option.

When I first got it it was terrible. They finally pushed a software update which is great. If somebody had android maybe they could pull a token from the api. I’m on iOS and it looks like all the ssl is pinned when I try to proxy the traffic

Wondering if the bluetooth in the gizmo 3 can be leveraged within ESPresence.

Would be great if we could somehow pull in the GPS map from the Gizmohub app to see where kiddos are at and any other features… Anyone know if there is an API for this?
