The Getting Started page located at home-assistant.io/getting-started/ mentions the need for Python to be installed.
It mentions 3.4 specifically. Can I go with the latest version, or do I have to specifically use 3.4? The current version of Python is 3.51
Just updated the docs. Python 3.5 should be fine.
